Whittle Consulting’s Gerald Whittle presents a two-day course on integrated strategic planning in the mining industry. The course covers advantages over siloed planning, the greater visibility of the entire mining operation from resource through to market, the provision of data driven information to inform all decision making and the potential to increase the value of a minerals business by at least 15% or more. A special 25% discount offer has been extended into 2017. There is a 50% discount for group registrations.

Geometallurgy Short Course
23 October – 3 November 2017, Hobart, Australia
  IMARC 2017
30 October – 2 November 2017, Melbourne, Australia

The University of Tasmania’s CODES unit is running a short course which provides a comprehensive overview of practical geometallurgy - from deposit characterisation and Grade Engineering to improved management of mine waste.
The course introduces a range of techniques for ‘early-stage’ (e.g. exploration, prefeasibility) collection of geological information that is relevant to mining engineers and metallurgists. The program includes lectures, practical exercises, site visits and a range of computer-based modelling exercises.

CRC ORE’s CEO, Dr Ben Adair, is teaming up with Sumitomo’s Operations Manager David King at this year’s IMARC. Together, they will present insights into future developments in mining technology. It will feature innovation in action, focussing on the step change in the energy, production and water signatures at the Minera San Cristóbal site in Bolivia.
Keep an eye out for METS Ignited’s seminars at IMARC. These should be announced soon. CRC ORE Participant, METS Ignited, is a key sponsor of IMARC Australia, using the conference to promote collaboration between miners and METS.

This will be an interesting look into a successful technology implementation project from outside the mining industry. More information about this year’s program will be released in the coming months.

Essential Participants can make the most of the trip, with a major face-to-face Implementation Council scheduled for the following day.
