Chief Architect, IES Project
Robert is responsible for the design and implementation of the Integrated Extraction Simulator (IES) project; leading the IES development team to deliver IES and working with researchers to implement their process models in the IES framework.
Robert has worked with CRC ORE since late 2012, and is a key member of the CRC ORE team responsible for delivering IES and enabling the next generation of simulation technology for the mining industry.
He has 20 years of experience in the software development industry, working with companies such as Mincom, Suncorp and Wotif.com to develop high-performing software solutions.
Robert has been involved in every aspect of the IES project, from the initial proof-of-concept through to the full-scale deployment of the IES platform. He has also been heavily involved in the implementation of numerous industry-standard process models, such as the JK SimMet and JK Sim Float models, on the IES platform, and working with researchers through the P9 project to bring the latest in mining process modelling to IES.
His main interests include software engineering techniques, web-based software development, and working with skilled people to realise their visions in code.
