Anton von Wielligh

Anton von Wielligh has joined CRC ORE as a mine planning consultant. Anton is a Principal Mining Engineer with 20 year’s industry experience globally. He brings practical mining experience and is across all aspects of mining projects including scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for hard and soft rock projects.
Anton gained practical open pit and underground mining experience in South Africa, West Africa and Australia during his time with Gold Fields Limited, Gold Fields Ghana and AngloGold Ashanti. This included underground mining projects and production engineering roles at Kloof Consolidated Gold Mines (in South Africa) and underground mining in Ghana and Australia. On the open pit production side, his experience includes various production-supervisory and legal appointment roles within Gold Fields Ghana’s Tarkwa mine. Anton has also been involved in various precious and base metals resource to reserve audits and due diligence studies for companies including AngloGold Ashanti, Barrick/Acacia and Anglo American.
Anton has been a professional registered member with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) (Professional Engineer) since 2008. He is a longstanding member of the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AUSIMM).
