The final Annual Assembly for CRC ORE was held on Wednesday 12 May 2021 in the Grand Rooms at The Calile Hotel, Brisbane, from 8.30am to 4.30pm AEST, followed by canapes to 6.30pm.

As CRC ORE concluded operations this year, we took the opportunity to share details on outcomes achieved and lessons learned while focused on our Assembly theme of Innovation Delivered.

Keynote speaker Professor Robin Batterham, Kernot Professor of Engineering at The University of Melbourne, delivered a presentation on 'Innovating yesterday, today and tomorrow'.

The Annual Assembly 2021 agenda also featured leaders from across CRC ORE's Essential Participant group who provided insights on industry issues and discussed their experiences on CRC ORE projects and site implementation studies.

Presenters at Annual Assembly 2021 included:

Annual Assembly was a face-to-face event, but CRC ORE also delivered a virtual option for those who weren't able to travel to Brisbane.

COVID Safe Event

The safety of delegates, speakers and staff at Annual Assembly 2021 was a top priority for CRC ORE. We worked to deliver a safe event by following the directions of the Queensland Government through its COVID Safe Event Checklist. CRC ORE provided access to hand sanitiser, and reminded attendees about social distancing and hygiene. At this stage, masks weren't mandatory, but delegates were welcome to wear these at Annual Assembly 2021.
