COVID-19 - update from CRC ORE

An update to CRC ORE's response to COVID-19.

1 April 2020

CRC ORE continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and as such it has been determined that our team will move to a work from home basis.

To ensure the health and safety of our team and stakeholders, all CRC ORE staff are now working remotely.

From Wednesday 1 April, CRC ORE’s physical offices, both in Brisbane and the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mining Innovation Hub, are closed until further notice.

All our staff are equipped to work remotely, ensuring the continuity of our business and projects, and enabling collaboration.

Our offices will re-open at a time that is consistent with Australian and State Government advice and directives.

We will continue to monitor events closely, follow government advice, adapt accordingly and advise you of any impacts or changes to the way we operate.

20 March 2020

Dear CRC ORE Colleagues,

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve and further impact countries, organisations and individuals, we wanted to provide you with an update on our response to this situation at CRC ORE.

Firstly, our thoughts are with those affected by this crisis, together we will move towards a safer tomorrow.

The health and safety of our community is very important to us. We are providing our team with regular communication to ensure they all well informed.

As per the Australian Department of Health’s guidance, CRC ORE’s offices, both in Brisbane and Kalgoorlie, currently remain open for business with staff coming to work as usual.

While our offices remain operational, our staff are equipped to work remotely should this be required, ensuring the continuity of our business and projects, and enabling collaboration. We will communicate any changes to these arrangements as and when they happen.

At our offices, we have implemented heightened hygiene processes including enhanced cleaning and providing hand sanitiser for all staff and in all common areas. While we have reduced the number of visitors to our office, we encourage guests to follow safe hygiene practices, this includes use of provided hand sanitisers and soaps, and refraining from physical contact, such as handshakes.

Also, in line with Australian Government requirements we have suspended all international travel and have limited domestic travel to an absolute minimum.

Non-essential meetings are being limited and alternative methods for meetings are encouraged. As CRC ORE Participants and projects are located throughout Australia and globally, we are making use of electronic forms of communication and online meetings.

We will continue to monitor events closely, follow government advice, adapt accordingly and advise you of any impacts or changes to the way we operate.

If you have any queries related to our COVID-19 response, please contact us on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Wishing you well in health.
