Technical Advisor - Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mining Innovation Hub

Dr. Laurence Dyer is a Lecturer in Department of Mining Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering, WA School of Mines, Curtin University. He has been appointed as Technical Advisor to the Hub on a part time basis to provide technical support for project development.

Laurence completed his PhD in 2011, spent two years as a postdoctoral research fellow with the Minerals Engineering Department at the University of British Columbia and has now been at WASM, Kalgoorlie since July, 2013. His specialties are in leaching and precipitation, however he also has a keen interest in beneficiation and the impact that will have on subsequent extraction units. He has worked in a range of commodities including Au, Cu, Ni and Zn.

Laurence has been involved in undertaking projects with CRC ORE including the beneficiation of hard rock lithium ores. He has been engaged early on in the concept development for the Hub and has been an active contributor to the feasibility study to develop the Hub in Kalgoorlie.
