Principal Mining Engineer
David is CRC ORE's Principal Mining Engineer, bringing 28 years of mining research and consulting experience to the team.
David’s role is to assist in the further development and application of Grade Engineering, in particular around induced deportment by differential blasting.
Since graduating from the University of Queensland in 1987, David spent 15 years at the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre conducting mining research roles under several AMIRA projects and was responsible for instrumentation and software development for the Mining Research Group. Post JKRMC, David worked at Metso Process Technology and Innovation (PTI) for 9 years in various roles. He also spent three years with Blast Movement Technologies where he was responsible for further developing BMT’s Blast Movement Monitoring (BMM) system, providing consultative services to clients, and developing new products for the mining industry.
